Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She joined ESPN in 2016. was a part of ESPN. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since her age of nine. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was reporter for sports at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then, in 2009 the reporter moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she would fill in at times as a news and sports anchor. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She was a reporter for the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. She was advertised as anchoring sports on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She worked in the same role for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. There is an older sister. She has an older sister. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the young Collins was able to take a job alongside her elder sister. Still a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta went to at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her preferences. In the end, she loved the campus and that they had the major she was looking for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and enrolled into media school at the University. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was member of the class, established an ongoing friendship with the student. He inspired her to be self-confident and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her. She, determined to fulfill his standards and never let him down.
